  • Descrição: The film is based on the novel of the same name by Nikos Kasdaglis and deals with the experiences of a group of soldiers during their military service in 1953, four years after the civil war. We are told the stories of four people who meet and clash, each following the path most suited to his inclination and maturity. They all serve in the same unit and go to the same brothel, which is where their stories meet. One of the guys is a naïve, virgin farmer called Lakidas, who attempts to take his own life because his first visit to the brothel is unsuccessful and he is ashamed in front of his comrades. The other guy is the womanizing cook of the unit. He is involved with numerous girls in the area, but is forced to marry one of them in the end. The third is a soldier who tries to stand up for his own dignity, but the military police take him away. The fourth story is about the transformation of a military police officer from a sensitive, romantic man into a harsh and inhuman sadist.
